Parts Specialist
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Parts Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing inventory levels, sourcing and supplying parts for our operations, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of parts and inventory management, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for helping customers find the right solutions.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Manage inventory of automotive or industrial parts, including receiving, stocking, and organizing parts to ensure accurate inventory levels.
- Assist customers in identifying and locating the correct parts for their needs, providing guidance and recommendations based on their requirements.
- Process sales transactions and handle cash and credit card payments accurately.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source parts, negotiate pricing, and maintain relationships to ensure the availability of quality products.
- Maintain accurate records of orders, shipments, and inventory levels using our inventory management system.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies with the inventory management system.
- Provide support to mechanics and technicians regarding parts compatibility and specifications.
- Stay updated on industry trends, product releases, and advancements in parts technology.
- Assist in creating and updating parts catalogs and databases to support sales efforts.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues related to parts orders, returns, and warranties in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification or degree in automotive technology or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in parts sales or inventory management, preferably in the [automotive, industrial, or relevant] sector.
- Strong knowledge of parts and their applications, with the ability to identify and source parts effectively.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in using inventory management software and POS systems.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Basic computer skills. Reynolds and Reynolds DMS experience a plus!
